Professional Experience:
I’ve spent my career working in a wide variety of roles. I began providing mental health therapy to inmates in prison and county jails, but then transitioned to work for Prince William County in the Emergency Services Program, working with law enforcement and hospital staff to provide crisis intervention and mental health evaluations. After I married my (then active duty Marine) husband, I spent the next 17 years working in a variety of positions (at duty stations including MCAS Cherry Point, Okinawa, MCAGCC Twentynine Palms, Milwaukee and San Antonio) for Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) to provide individual and couples therapy, the VA in both Specialty Mental Health and Primary Care Mental Health Integration Programs, and FOCUS (Families Overcoming Under Stress) to provide resiliency training for military couples and families struggling to manage transitions. I opened my private practice in 2021 and now work with military, veterans and their families, first responders, and people outside of those communities dealing with anxiety, trauma, depression, anger, and insomnia.
